Partnership

Owner and Breeder Martin Poste has set up a joint ownership agreement with Bill Graham and Gary Laycock for the horse Magic Sky running in the colours of thehorseracingclub.com/partnership.

Martin has a fantastic sporting background and his past acheivements include coaching Harlequins, Buckinghamshire County RFU, Birkenhead Park and Caldy. He has this year accepted the role of consultant and team manager to Sheffield RFC where his second son Matt is the first team scrum half. Martin's eldest son is jockey Charlie Poste who's principal retainer is with Milton Harris. His third son Ben has just accepted an offer to ride work and point to point with Hereford based trainer Richard Lee and various other point to point trainers - Martin himself has an unraced 5 year old Highfield Road presently with Mike Hammond. His youngest son Joe has just sat his AS levels and is looking forward to continuing his education whilst enjoying being a keen footballer and cricketer in local teams.

Bill has been involved in horse racing for many years as both a jockey and an owner - he started his career over 40 years ago with Walter Nightingale and was with Martin and Gary when they purchased Magic Sky last October out of a Selling Hurdle Race which Martin sponsored at Uttoxeter. Bill is an avid Liverpool fan and attends most games at Anfield - that is when matches do not clash with racing commitments!!

The third member of the partnership is Gary Laycock. Gary is a successful local businessman who owns bars in Hoylake and New Brighton. This is Gary's first foray into racehorse ownership as his main sporting interest is cricket -being an active member of Caldy Cricket Club - He is a keen supporter of Everton and also is involved in local amateur football
